Pop/Jazz Conservatory in Helsinki (1995-1999)
Estonian Music Academy (1993-1995)
Artistic director of Estonian Dream Big Band (since 2009)
Leader of Police- and Boarderguard Big Band (since 2006)
Has played with numerous jazz artists (Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kurt Elling, New York Voices, Randy Brecker, Nils Landgren, Victoria Tolstoy etc)
Has realeased many albums (“Pühendus” with Tafenau-Aimla Quintet, “Finest Groove”- Siim Aimla Quartet, Mu süda. Ärka üles, Helin-Mari Arder and S. Aimla band, Tallinn-Riga Jazzquartet.etc.)
