The “Visioon” festival, aimed at young rhythm musicians, features contemporary music styles, original creations, and improvisations by the youth.
Individuals in their teens experience considerable changes and advancements in their musical abilities within a single year. The festival is held annually to offer a comprehensive overview of their current skills and ensure musical continuity.
The "Visioon" festival aims to support Estonian rhythm music education, highlight young jazz talent, and showcase new youth bands. All participants in the festival are presented online on the
website www.noortejazz.ee, and the necessary performance conditions for the concerts are provided. The concerts draw a supportive audience.
World-renowned musicians and their mentors will stage at the festival with young performers. These role models inspire, encourage, and provide new ideas for advancement.
The “Visioon” 2025 youth band concerts will take place on Friday, June 6th, in Saue city center park, in front of the Saue Rural Municipality building, outdoors, and on June 7th at the Philly Joe's club in Tallinn.
The 2025 Festival program includes a Swing Music Workshop conducted by the festival's guest, renowned bandleader, pedagogue, pianist, and clarinet player Zhenja Gimer from Finland.
Live music and creating it together is an experience for all. For many young people, the festival “Visioon” is their first rhythm music festival. Many who start at the “Visioon” go on to perform internationally on large stages.
The festival is organized by the MTÜ Improviis. Cooperation partners include Saue Music School, the Estonian Rhythm Music Education Association, the Estonian Music Schools Association, and rhythm music departments and teachers from many music schools.
