Artis Boriss - piano
Toivo Unt - bass
Reinis Zariņš - drums
Reinis is a drummer from Riga, Latvia who for the past few years had been studying Jazz drums in London at the Guildhall School of Music.
His versatility allows him to play across many different genres of music, but he is most passionate about Jazz, embarked on a never-ending journey of digging deeper into the art form and learning from the masters.
When he came to Riga to study at the Riga Dome choir school, Reinis met Artis Boris, with whom he quickly developed a close friendship and started to play together on a regular basis.
At just 16 years old, Reinis demonstrated his talent by winning both the Baltic Drummers League 2017 and Yamaha Drum Day 2017 competitions. The following year, he placed second in the Tamsta Drum Day 2018 competition in Lithuania - all of which couldn't have been done without the help of bandleader Artis Boris.
However, their studies have taken them to different parts of the world and they have not been able to perform together for a few years, so this concert will be a highly anticipated reunion for them.
